STATEWIDE CAMPAIGNS
While most of GSOP’s work happens at the local level, some of our campaigns are statewide. Some of the issues that we care about – such as raising the minimum wage, immigrant rights, and funding for childcare – are better solved at the state level.

Immigrant Solidarity Network
The NH Immigrant Solidarity Network holds an interfaith prayer vigil at our state’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office on the first Tuesday of every month at 9am. ICE is headquartered at the Norris Cotton Federal Building 275 Chestnut Street in Manchester. Join us as we vigil and pray for a just immigration reform. The vigil is followed by a meeting of the Immigrant Solidarity Network at a secure location. Contact Martin Toe for more information: MToe@granitestateorganizing.org

State Legislature
We track bills in the statehouse, especially ones related to immigration, housing, voting rights, childcare, healthcare, and the minimum wage. During the legislative session, we send out weekly emails with updates on the bills’ progress through the process. You can help promote or defeat bills by: call your legislator and ask them to vote for or against a bill, sign in online to show your support or opposition to a bill, go to the State House in Concord to testify in support or opposition to a bill.

Clergy Caucus
GSOP brings clergy together from across the state to speak with one strong, unified voice. Because clergy are often seen as trusted moral leaders, their perspectives carry weight. During election season, the Clergy Caucus frequently hosts candidate forums to build relationships with candidates and highlight the community’s concerns.

Economic Justice
Sign our petition to raise the minimum wage in New Hampshire! The Granite State remains the only state in New England that defaults to the federal hourly wage of $7.25 an hour, the lowest in the region. GSOP convenes the Moral Economy Table, a statewide coalition of partners representing labor unions, community groups, advocacy organizations, and social justice ministries who together advocate for livable wages.

Voter Outreach
GSOP is a non-partisan organization so we do not support or oppose any candidates. Instead, we try to ensure that everyone is able to vote. We give rides to the polls, hold voter education events, and canvass door-to-door letting people know how and where they can vote at upcoming elections.
