SMS/Text Messaging Program — NH Immigrant Support Hotline

Effective Date: 01/01/2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SMS/text messaging program operated by [NH Immigrant Support Hotline] (“the Hotline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a program of the Granite State Organizing Project. By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The Hotline provides callers with information, referrals, and resources by phone and, where requested, by text message. Opting in to text messages allows us to send you the specific resources, referrals, or follow-up information you request.

2. Not Legal Advice or Representation

The Hotline provides general information and referrals only. Nothing sent through this program constitutes legal advice, and use of this service does not create an attorney-client relationship or any form of legal representation between you and the Hotline, its volunteers, or affiliated organizations. For legal advice specific to your situation, we encourage you to consult a licensed attorney or an accredited legal representative.

3. SMS Program Terms

  • Consent: You must affirmatively opt in (verbally or by text keyword) to receive text messages. Consent is not a condition of receiving hotline services by phone.
  • Message types: Resource referrals, requested information, appointment or follow-up reminders, and program updates you asked to receive.
  • Message frequency: Varies depending on your requests.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages.
  • Help: Reply HELP or contact us for assistance.
  • Supported carriers may vary; we are not liable for undelivered or delayed messages caused by your carrier.

4. Eligibility

This service is intended for individuals seeking information or referrals through the Hotline. By opting in, you represent that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number provided, or have obtained permission from the account holder.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use this program for any unlawful purpose, to harass Hotline staff or volunteers, or to submit false information.

6. No Guarantee of Outcome

We do our best to connect callers with accurate, up-to-date resources, but we cannot guarantee the availability, accuracy, or outcome of any referral, service, or resource provided by a third-party organization.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Hotline and its text messaging program are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Granite State Organizing Project, its officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted at www.granitestateorganizing.org with a revised effective date. Continued use of the text messaging program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
